Fantastic investigation into how sunlight affects sunflower growth! You carefully controlled your variables and even repeated the experiment to improve your results. I am impressed that you adjusted the water amount and explained why that change mattered.
Your charts clearly showed the difference between sun and shade, and your observations were detailed and thoughtful. Keep asking big questions about how plants grow, your scientific thinking is strong!
I liked your project because you asked a clear question and did a fair test by keeping the planters, soil, seeds, and watering schedule the same in the sun group and the shade group. You also did a great job taking pictures and observations on multiple days and repeating the experiment three times. Your results chart showed many more seeds sprouted in the shade than in the sun, and your conclusion about the hot Arizona sun drying the soil makes sense. Great work!
