My project is about how different concentrations of microplastics affect lettuce. I chose this project because I wanted to see how things in daily life can affect crops grown everyday. My result was that microplastics actually help in growth of lettuce. My project is important because it shows us the affect of microplastics on lettuce and a different outcome of what was expected.
This is an exceptionally well-designed and thoughtfully executed plant science project. You demonstrated strong scientific reasoning by running two experimental rounds, using appropriate statistical tests, and honestly interpreting results that did not always match your expectations. Your willingness to revise hypotheses and discuss uncertainty reflects real scientific thinking. This work addresses an important environmental issue and is well beyond typical expectations for this level. Excellent job, keep pursuing questions like this!
