Diggin' OG Style

During Social Studies class we read about “Innovative Indians” and the tools they made to thrive in the desert. Last year we learned about the Hohokam and how they grew crops like “the three sisters”, corn, squash, and beans. One of our classmates asked “how could they create a canal system to get water to their crops with just sticks?”

Great job! Your team showed creativity by using what you learned in social studies class. It was also smart to notice that the dibble stick wasn’t easy to use.
You turned a great social studies question into a hands‑on investigation by actually making dibble sticks and trying to dig like the Hohokam, which shows excellent creativity and curiosity.
Well-done on this good work!
