We chose this project because we love books and have a strong connection to reading. We wanted to extend this love for books to our peers and fellow students by making recommendations for books. We chose these specific books because we love them. These are our favorite books and recently we have noticed that not many kids are reading them. We want them to be read more. Our hypothesis was if we make displayed recommendations then the amount of times they are checked out will increase because the book recommendations will have influenced the check out rate. Our hypothesis ended up being disproven. Only 2 books got checked out the week we put the recommendations out.
