1. What is your project about? My project is about whether group decisions would affect the colors people would emotionally respond to when listening to different genres of music. There were 8 colors available, being red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, and black. The genres included rock, country, pop, classical, and jazz. 1. Why did you choose this project? I chose this project because of my deep love of psychology. I also felt like, when I did this project last year, It wasn’t pushed to its full potential, and could be expanded to give more answers. Without this project, my knowledge and love for psychology would be lacking. 1. What was your result/ overall conclusion? My result/ overall conclusion was that when listening to music and picking a color, the individual and group decisions would majorly differ. When groupthink and group polarization collide, it creates an environment where people are unsure of their preferences and are more careful sharing ideas without support. 1. Why is your project important? My project was important since its laden discoveries can be used by almost anyone. After all, knowing group psychology, especially groupthink and group polarization, can be important, whether working on a group project at school, working on a presentation for a job, or playing a sport with a team, knowing how to properly be a part of and manage a group is a skill everyone should know. Psychologists can also benefit, being able to give advice, if something is going on in a group that they need to solve for their client.
This is a brilliant study. Thank you for taking the time to advance and execute another study in relation to your passion and the previous year’s project. This project will be beneficial to a lot of people who has interest in psychology as well. This is good. Keep up with this and never let go of your passion for psychology.
