Behavior of a Bacterium When Diluted with Three Different Soaps

Human Health and Behavior
Francisco Munoz Ortega

Grade:
6
Teacher:
Norman Dejan

My project analyzes the behavior of bacteria when exposed to three different types of soap: laundry soap (FOCA), dish soap (AXION), and body soap (JOHNSON'S) under controlled laboratory conditions. I chose this topic hygiene and antimicrobial effectiveness are essential for preventing infections, and I wanted to scientifically compare how cleaning agents with different chemical compositions affect bacterial reductions. The results showed that laundry soap (FOCA) was the most effective in reducing bacterial presence, followed by dish soap (AXION), while body soap (JOHNSON'S) had the least antibacterial effect. This project is important because it contributes to understanding bacterial control, antimicrobial resistance, and how the strength of surfactants in cleaning products impacts public health and hygiene practices.

    Congratulations!!!

  6. So proud of the discipline, curiosity, and perseverance behind this project. The effort and learning process matter just as much as the results. Keep reaching higher!

  7. This project presents a thoughtful investigation into how different types of soaps affect bacterial behavior. The comparison and analysis demonstrate curiosity, careful experimentation, and a strong interest in scientific research. Keep exploring, asking questions, and developing your skills as a young scientist — the future of science needs minds like yours!

  8. It’s inspiring to see young students investigating real-world questions through science. Your hard work and dedication truly show in your project. Keep going!

  9. You did a strong job choosing a real-world health topic that connects to cleanliness and preventing germs. Your project is well organized with clear sections (hypothesis, variables, materials, procedures), and you explained the science behind how soap works in a way that shows good understanding. Comparing different soap types was a smart idea, and your results were clearly summarized and easy to follow.

  10. Congratulations on this well-structured and informative project. Your study provides valuable insight into how different types of soaps vary in their effectiveness at reducing bacterial presence. By comparing cleaning agents with different chemical compositions, your work highlights the important role that hygiene products and surfactants play in controlling bacteria and supporting public health. Science cannot wait for what you have to experiment with and validate in the future. Wishing you all the best in your science research and exploration.

  11. Watching curiosity turn into research and discovery is something truly special. This project reflects dedication, perseverance, and a genuine love for science. Moments like this show how powerful learning and exploration can be. Keep reaching for new discoveries.

  12. A great example of curiosity and scientific thinking. Wonderful work exploring an important question.

  13. Great project comparing the antibacterial effects of different types of soap. I liked how you tested laundry soap, dish soap, and body soap and observed their effects on bacteria using a microscope. Your charts and photographic evidence helped clearly show how the soaps affected bacterial cells. This experiment connects science with everyday hygiene and demonstrates the importance of effective cleaning methods.

  14. Congratulations on your participation with your excellent and highly experimental project that contributes so much to society in daily life. Keep it up, well done!
