My project’s goal was to observe how much bacteria would grow in makeup beauty tools after 2 consecutive weeks of applying a makeup routine. I chose this project because it is a relevant topic with people our age and with trending topics. I am also a person who enjoys makeup as a hobby. The overall result of this project showed that, indeed large amounts of bacteria grow on makeup tools, beauty blenders were the tool with the most bacteria containing an average of 80.6 colonies. This project is important because it can help improve the health and hygiene of those people who are interested in cosmetics.

  1. Your poster was very nice to look at, and you took a lot of time in preparing your experiment and analyzing your results. When I first read the hypothesis, I thought this would be very hard to get quantitative data on. So I was very impressed that you were able to measure the amount of bacteria and determine which was the most mold-resistant and which was the least.
