My project is taking both boy and girl fingerprints and comparing them to find out which gender has the more rare types of fingerprints. I took 16 girls and 16 boys and took all ten of their fingerprints. My hypothesis was that girls would have more uncommon types of fingerprints than boys. In the end my hypothesis was proven wrong and boys were found to have more rare fingerprints than girls. Girls had 70% Ulnar loops, the most common fingerprint, while boys had 57.2%. This concludes that boys have more rare fingerprints than girls.
