Air Bag - Bass Clarinet

Applied Technology

Grade:
8
Teacher:
Leonard Mariano

Pushing out air into an instrument is fairly easy. Generally, you would breathe in a spot that would not affect the flow or tone of the music. However, not all music has these good breathing spots. Similar to a bagpipe, this project would apply a bag to a bass clarinet as an additional air source. This would require 3 main parts: - A 3d printed neck piece that is able to connect the bag and instrument. - A bag that is able to stay air tight. - A reed holder to hold the separate reed to make the sound from the bag.
