My project involves the properties of matter and the various things that influence them. If the material and the weight of a marble matter, and friction plays a part in the time needed to complete a run down a marble track, then the marble with the smoother surface and larger weight going down the track will have the least friction and go down the fastest. Because a larger weight and smoother surface will have more speed and less friction.
Nice experiment. Why do you think you got the results you did for the rougher surface? Do you have any plans to continue this project with different variable?
