This project tests which type of AA battery lasts the longest. Different branded and non-branded batteries were used to power wire motors, and the total running time was measured. The results show that battery brand affects how long a battery lasts and that some lower-cost batteries can still work well for everyday use.

I really like how you built your own motors instead of just using a toy. That shows creativity and strong engineering skills! Your graphs made your results very clear. The box-and-whisker plot was especially impressive and shows advanced math thinking. Additionally, I love that you didn’t just look at which battery lasted the longest; you also calculated the cost per hour. That makes your project very practical and useful for real families. Overall, you combined science, engineering, and math in one project. Your use of averages and cost comparison shows excellent critical thinking. Great Job!
This project presents a clear research question and a creative experimental design using a homopolar motor to compare the lifespan of different AA battery brands. The student collected measurable data and effectively used graphs to present and interpret the results, showing thoughtful analysis of both battery performance and cost efficiency.
