In this experiment I will be testing to see if unwashed raw sheep wool can help clean up oil spills around the world. Since the wool is not washed, lanolin in the wool will be present, which repels water, but allows only the oil to be absorbed. The sheep’s wool is also biodegradable; which will allow for a natural and clean way to absorb and dispose of oil from our oceans.
