The Power of Positivity

Plants and the Environment

Grade:
4
Teacher:
Kimberly Stevens

My science project was to figure out how positivity or negativity effected the growth of roots of plant clippings from the Spiderwort Purple Heart Plant in bottles of water. The reason why I chose this project is to prove that words really effect the world around you. The results were just as I thought. The ones with the positive words on the bottles grew 26 inches, the ones with negative words on the bottles grew 7 inches and the control ones with no words grew 10 inches. My hypothesis was correct and the positive bottles grew the most.
