For my project, I tested to see how different diets affected Black garden ants' ability to navigate their surroundings, in this case, a small cardboard maze. I chose this topic because I have always been fascinated by ants, having done experiments on my own with them before. I found that ants who ate a plant-based diet had the quickest time through the maze. This is important to me because, being a high school athlete, I often change and improve my diet to ensure that I am always performing at my best.

  1. Very thoroughly analyzed. Interesting that plant eating ants can do so well on meat.
