School BirdsAnimal Science
- Christopher Rodarte
I wanted to know what types of birds live near or around schools. I thought they would be different populations than birds not near schools, and they would mostly eat insects, because kids are gross and attract bugs. I compared my own observations against data from Tucson Bird Count, and did not find that there were big differences between school birds and other birds nearby. There were a lot of seed eating birds. Knowing about birds in human spaces is helpful for conservation.
