I wanted to know what types of birds live near or around schools. I thought they would be different populations than birds not near schools, and they would mostly eat insects, because kids are gross and attract bugs. I compared my own observations against data from Tucson Bird Count, and did not find that there were big differences between school birds and other birds nearby. There were a lot of seed eating birds. Knowing about birds in human spaces is helpful for conservation.

  1. Nice work. Next time maybe try different locations and home in on some specific kinds of birds

  2. Nice job with data presentation. Using the bird census data was a clever way to put your results into a broader context
