Students correlated physical exercise and an increase in heart rate to behavior patterns throughout their day for an 8-week period of time. Students tracked behaviors based on a Rubric that as a class they created. Students exercised 3 days, however, they only tracked their behaviors for one of these days. Students did not exercise before class twice a week and again only tracked behaviors for one of these days. Students were able to determine if exercising and an increased heart rate before going into an environment that was task and focus oriented would help them regulate and control their emotions and frustrations better than if they had not exercised. Students collected all individual data after 8 weeks by adding up all colors on their rubric to evaluate data for the impact of the whole class. Students were also able to individually come to a conclusion based on their individual chart results.
