Launcher X

Physics and Astronomy

Grade:
7
Teacher:
Rita Wilhite

A catapult is designed and built to launch objects, small , medium, or large size. The prediction is that the lightest object will go furthest and the heaviest the least far. The medium sized object doesn't go as far as the heavier object. The distance from the fulcrum to the load is shortened and distances traveled by the three objects is compared to their previous launch trials. The objects go further after this alteration.

  1. I really appreciated that you build your own catapult for this, almost two science experiments in one (physics and engineering)! Slides 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 were excellent data analysis and use of graphs – very well laid out and articulated to the research visually.
