How does color of light affect plant growth?

Food and Nutrition

Grade:
7
Teacher:
Adelle McNiece

Our hypothesis was, “If we grow plants in red light, then the plants will be large tall and have lots of branches because our research showed this.” Our hypothesis was disproven. The best light for plant growth is blue because our studies showed that plants that grew in blue light grew an average of 8.17cm height. While the least color was clear which the plant average was 1.63cm.

  1. Great job troubleshooting your experiment by replacing moldy seeds with new radish seeds to complete your experiment. Resourceful thinking is important in science. Great perseverance and excellent presentation!
