Growing Plants in Microgravity

Plant Science
Braeden Ingraham Jay Turner

Elaine MacKenzie

Our project explores and collects data on how gravity and microgravity effect plant growth. I chose this project because it is very important for future space colonization. It ultimately caused the plants to grow less effectively and healthy. It is important because we need to be self-sufficient in space to survive in space.

  1. Interesting research and the approach to the experiments. Good data presentation.

  2. What a fascinating topic! I especially like that you compared the angle of root growth. I see you did some thorough background research, and I would love to know more about why microgravity has the effect it does on plants. Good work.
