A Balloon Powered Car

In this project, I studied how far a balloon powered car would go using different types of straws. My hypothesis was that if I use bigger straws then the car would go farther. There are 3 types of variables. The independent variable was changing the straw. The dependent variable was distance that the car travels. The controlled variables were the water bottles, the balloon, and the wheels. I wanted to do this because it looked the most interesting to me. My grandpa was an engineer and I knew he would be proud of me if I tried this experiment. It will help me with learning how to be an engineer.

  1. You included many great pictures and graphs in your project. I enjoyed reading your lab journal.
