"Many kids don’t like school, and especially with the pandemic, their negative feelings about school make them unhappy and perform poorly at school. This is true for teachers and other school staff members, too. Previous research says that you can be happier just by training your brain to think of good things. I tasked my research participants with thinking of three good things about school every day to see if this made them happier. It proved to be very effective in boosting the happiness of staff members, but surprisingly didn’t show much impact on the happiness of students. This simple technique has the potential to improve the happiness and success of both students and staff if taught and practiced daily."
