Suck it Up, Buttercup: Which paper towel sucks up the most water?

"We just got a new puppy. New puppies have lots of accidents. We are going through a lot of paper towel cleaning up after her. Sometimes we spill our drinks too. We try to clean it up as quick as possible so it doesn’t become a big mess. That made me wonder, what’s the best paper towel we can use to clean things up fast without wasting tons of paper towel? Is there a better paper towel than what we use at home? I found out the Name Brand was the best for sucking up water. This is important because now we can clean up messes without wasting too much paper towel. Using up too much paper towel will make too much trash and is a waste of the paper towel."

  1. I loved the way you designed your project from the puppy problem. Really good analysis of why some brands work better than others. I wonder if there are other recycled brands that might work better.
Keep up asking questions and looking for answers! Good job.

  2. Nice job on your bar graph! I like that you used different colors for each type. Also, good job in making the change to teaspoons in order to be able to make measuring meaningful.
