"I wanted to study how sound waves travel through different materials. I made a sound box to test how sound would travel through different barriers: metal, plastic, wood and cardboard. I used an app on the iPhone to detect decibels and a guitar tuner to create a steady pitch. I placed the barrier between the two and took readings from the iPhone. I repeated the process for each material."
