"The objective of this experiment is to increase the energy efficiency of a solar cell by using a magnifying glass to increase the light intensity on a solar cell. Monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon solar cells were used and a magnifying glass was placed at, above, and below the focal length. Surprisingly, using a magnifying glass did not increase the energy efficiency of the monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar cells."

  1. Fun experiment and well done! Really like the bar chart showing efficiency drop with the magnifying glass regardless of material used, tells the whole story beautifully!
