"Catapult Mania was created to test the theory of whether or not weight would be a factor in how far an object would launch. This project was chosen because not only is it fun to launch items across the room but building the catapult from a kit was a lot of fun too. The overall conclusion was that weight was a main factor and that the heavier object did indeed fly the farthest. This project was important for using math to conclude an average of distance for the items launched as well as going through the scientific method."
